Dear Members and Guests –   


With the recent surge of cases of COVID-19 in the State of Wisconsin and Brown County, along with the requests from area doctors and health departments we have decided to update our current COVID-19 process.  


Out of an abundance of caution and to keep all of those who use our facility safe, we are requiring that all individuals must wear a mask (unless noted below) to enter our facility effective October 6, 2020 until further notice. The only area in the center where masks are not required is in the Kroc pool. Anyone on the pool deck must wear a mask. Below is a breakdown of mask requirements by age.


  • Individuals from ages 5 and up must wear a mask in our facility
  • Children from ages 2-4 are strongly encouraged to wear a mask in our facility
  • Children who are under age 2 should not wear a mask in our facility per CDC recommendations


Additionally, we will be screening members and doing temperature checks upon entry. All members and staff must enter our main (south) entrance. There will be stations set up inside the doors where staff will be asking questions and taking temperatures. We ask for your kindness and patience with each other and our staff. 

We want to remind you of the many virtual options we have and will continue to offer. These options include daily fitness classes and select registration classes. We are asking you to help us prevent further spread. If you or a member of your family has developed symptoms of COVID-19, meets the CDC definition for close contact with someone who has COVID-19, or suspects that a family member may have COVID-19, please stay home.  If this is the case and you have recently visited the Kroc, we ask you please let us know immediately.  

We know these are challenging times, and we ask for your patience and kindness as we make changes to help us all navigate the coming weeks safely. Community is not just important – it is the foundation upon which we are built. And at this time, we need the help of you, our community, to implement these safety precautions for the greater good.

  • Effective October 6, you MUST wear a mask to enter the Kroc Center. If you cannot wear a mask for any reason, we invite you to participate in our virtual activities.
  • Children 5+ must wear a mask, children ages 2-4 are strongly encouraged to wear a mask, and children under the age of 2 are not required to wear a mask.
  • Everyone entering the Kroc will be screened. See below for what this means.
  • The only exception for mask-wearing in the center is for anyone in the Kroc pool.
  • Fitness classes that take place outdoors will not require masks, but if classes need to be moved indoors due to weather, masks will be required.
  • We want to be able to continue to stay open for your use. We know things are difficult, but we appreciate your patience and kindness while we implement necessary safety precautions.

The Screening Process:

What is it like?

Everyone visiting the Kroc must enter through our main (south) entrance.


  1. Just inside the doors you will stop at our screening station.
  2. A masked staff member will ask you a few questions.
  3. The staff member will then take your temperature using a touchless scanner.
  4. If you are determined to pose a safety risk due to your answers or temperature, you will be asked to leave.
  5. If all is well, you are welcome to proceed to member check in. We ask that you wear your mask properly at all times while in the facility, and follow all other safety precautions such as hand washing and social distancing.

A proper face covering consists of a 2 layer cloth mask, worn closely over the nose and mouth. Anyone inside the Kroc Center is required to wear an adequate mask properly at all times. View CDC mask guidelines HERE.

Q: How will I know what parts of the building are open, and when?

A: See the chart above. Items listed as currently unavailable are planned to resume at some point during phase 3.


Q: When will the playground be open?

A: The playground is public, and its opening is therefore dependent on the parks department and when they deem it is safe to reopen public playgrounds. We continue to monitor their status and will open our playground as soon as it is deemed safe.


Q: Why isn't the pool open right away? When will it be open?

A. We are following recommended guidelines for pool safety, and taking the time to train our staff on the latest safety protocol. Our pool will open for limited use by members in phase two.


Q: When will Pickleball, Basketball, and other group sports be available in the gym?

A: Right now we are looking at phase 3 for the return of organized sports in the gym.


Q: When are Group Fitness classes starting?

A: We have continued to offer Group Fitness classes virtually and on demand. In-person classes are planned for some time in phase 3.


Q: When is open gym available?

A: We are looking to reintroduce this in phase 3.


Q: When can we use drop-in Child Watch again?

A: We are looking to reintroduce this in phase 3.


Q: When will I be able to purchase or use a Day Pass?

A: Day Pass purchasing and use will likely return in phase 3.


Q: How do I get my gift card for missed registration classes when you were closed?

A: Please visit our welcome desk during business hours and our Membership Services team will assist you.


Q: How do I change my membership?

A: Please contact our Membership Services Team at 920.884.5007


Q: I put my membership on hold. Can I reactivate it early, and how do I do that?

A: Yes, you can reactivate your membership early by contacting our Membership Services Team at 920.884.5007


Q: What if I want to keep my membership on hold beyond the time the hold is set to expire?

A: Contact our Membership Services Team at 920.884.5007 so we can work out a solution that is best for your needs.
